Summer is almost here, and that means a severe lack of ice. For those not playing summer ice hockey and are looking to play some meaningful hockey, give wheel roller hockey a try. We're now in our 3rd season and it looks like we may be expanding to 6 teams this year. It's a small friendly league aimed to beginner and intermediate players.
Inline hockey is played with the same gear as ice hockey minus the shoulder pads, and most players wear a roller hockey pant/girdle to keep the temperature down. It's played 4 on 4 with no icing and no offsides, which makes for more offense, and a lot more room for creativity.
