Say goodbye to another great player.

Polar bears

Defender Jim Sharrow reinforced EHC
Berlin - am Wednesday asks polar bears coach Don Jackson (yesterday) in Berlin his sheep first again on ice. In addition to the Danish forward a second new face will there appear Mads Christensen. This from Jim Sharrow!

The 25-year old Defender (1.88 m / 90 kg) is the second obligation for the new season. Sharrow is Americans and great talent. EHC Manager Peter John Lee: "Jimmy is still young, his big break ahead."

Sharrow comes from NHL Club Atlanta of 2001–02 that charges him however, most recently to the Victoria salmon Kings in the ECHL. Jim is expected at the weekend in Berlin.

Taylor-made for Capitals

Quotes of the week
..Edinburgh Capitals have added forward Adam Taylor to their roster for the upcoming Elite League season.

Taylor spent last season playing in the ECHL for the Victoria Salmon Kings where he racked up 31 points and 68 penalty minutes.

The 26-year-old has played over 300 professional games and is now relishing the opportunity to prove himself in Great Britain.

Taylor said: "I am very excited to be coming to Edinburgh. I have had some really good talks with Gratts (Edinburgh coach Brad Gratton) and he's the type of coach I feel will push me and the Capitals in the right direction.

Leader
"When going overseas you need to feel some kind of comfort with your coach because you never really know what you're getting into, Gratts' honest and down to earth approach made coming to the EIHL an easy choice."

Gratton, who recently took over from Doug Christiansen as Edinburgh coach, added: "Adam was drafted in the NHL by the Carolina Hurricanes and also signed a two year deal in the AHL. He has very good experience as a player and will be one of our leaders.

"I am hoping he will be a big part of our team; he is a good skater, a smart player with a good shot. Taylor has great size for a centre and he will be our key face-off man. Games can be won or lost on face-offs so it is good to have a great face-off man.

"Adam plays hard every night and that is what we need. With a great attitude and lots of experience he will make us a better team."

Talk about chasing the dream-you got to hand it to guys like Dan, I can't imagine moving around the continent working in the minors as a GM for as many years as Dan has. Good luck Dan in the hockey hotbed known as the Rio Grade. Wink
